OIL CITY — Meea Irwin scored five goals in the first half to increase her Warren record to 150 career goals as the Dragons beat Oil City 11-1 in Region 6 girls soccer Wednesday.

“One hundred and fifty goals is an amazing achievement,” Warren head coach Mark Ordiway said. “Meea is a very dynamic offensive talent.”

Lani Wenzel added three goals for Warren while Leyna Irwin, Lilly Stanley and Ava Wymer each scored once.

Wenzel and Leyna Irwin each had two assists while Meea Irwin and Joanna Bennett each had one.

“Our midfield of Lani Wenzel, Leyna Irwin, Kaylee Cyphert and Joanna Bennett really controlled the tempo for us,” Ordiway said. “Lani had a great game with three goals and two assists.”

The Dragons improved to 9-4-0 overlal and 5-0-0 in the region.

“We have a big game coming up next Tuesday with Meadville coming to town,” Ordiway added.

Warren hosts the Bulldogs at 5 p.m. Tuesday at War Memorial Field.
