RUSSELL — The Eisenhower girls soccer team took early control of its game Thursday and never let up, shutting out visiting Iroquois 6-0 in Region 3 action.
Madysen Lindberg started the scoring for the Knights two minutes in, finding the right side of the net to put her team up 1-0. Samantha Childs scored at the eight-minute mark to make it 2-0, which held up for Eisenhower at the half.
After the break, Shayleigh Albaugh added two goals, and Olivia Wallace and Rosalie Rondeau collected one apiece.
“I’m very proud of the girls,” Eisenhower head coach Faith Johnson said. “With it being senior recognition night, there are always a lot of emotions, but they were able to take charge early and work together.”
