Warren Area High School class of 2022 alumnus and 2021 PIAA state champion Katie Beyer had some recent success at the start of her senior season. Swimming for Division I St. Bonaventure University, Beyer finished in third place in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:08.89, and in fifth place in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:54.46 when they traveled to University Park to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions earlier this month. Also in October, the Bonnies were in New Jersey for a tri-meet against Rutgers and Fordham. Beyer finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.43) and fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:07.34).
