Warren tennis sweeps Erie High

The Warren High Girls Tennis team added to their win streak on Thursday, blanking the Erie High Royals 5-0 at Betts Park.
The Lady Dragons dominated singles action with wins from Lucy Harrison, Alannah Garza and Grace Carlson.
“The improvement of this team in the past month has been remarkable,” Warren senior Lucy Harrison commented. “We are really starting to bring some fire on the court and it feels like Warren Dragon tennis.”
Then duos were just as good for Warren with the tandem of Sarah Harvey and Scotlynn Perry winning 6-2, 6-4 and then Brady Caudill and Olivia Romanosky finishing the day 6-1, 6-0.
“Playing four matches in a row is never ideal and presents its challenges,” Warren head coach Thomas Pellegrino said. “But overall we were very pleased with today’s results and the week as a whole. This was a key AAA region match up for us and the girls were focused and determined from the jump. They played as a team and although you’d think they may be a bit tired this was the best tennis they played all week.”
The Dragons are now 7-4 on the year and will take on Bradford at 11:00 am at Betts on Saturday for senior night.
Alice Watt, Jade Stewert, Lilly Seyler, Carly Fitzsimmons, Laken Carroll, Sophia Davis, Lettie Christie, and Laelah Mueller were all winners in Junior Varsity action.
