WARREN — The 11th annual Jackson Valley Golf Course Senior Open was held last Friday. The tournament invites any player over the age of 50 to play the gold tees in an age-flighted championship. During play, Slugger Lawson, pictured above left, had his first-ever hole-in-one on the par-3, eighth hole. The hole was playing at 123 yards, and Lawson scored the ace with an 8-iron. Mike Davis, Mike McPhearson and Randy Mineweaser were witnesses. Gary McCullough, pictured above right, also had a notable round, shooting a 6-under-par 65. The round of 65 tied the course record from the gold tees. Todd Sidon, Dave Holcomb and John Vincent witnessed the round.
