Cathedral Prep scored a touchdown on its first possession, led 38-0 at halftime and breezed to a 58-7 football victory over Warren at War Memorial Field on Thursday.
The highlight of the evening for the Dragons came when freshman Tucker Sanford caught a pitch and ran to the left for an 8-yard touchdown with 3:40 to play in the fourth quarter. Kicker Charlie Blum drilled the extra point.
Warren had 115 yards of total offense. Quarterback Parker Kiser completed 3 of 7 passes for 39 yards, including a 35-yarder to Chris Orth. Running back Aiden Corbett ran 15 times for 30 yards.
Warren will be back in action a week from today when it entertains Titusville at War Memorial Field. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
