RUSSELL — Eisenhower’s girls volleyball team improved to 8-4 on the season as it defeated Northwestern in nonregion action Monday 25-19, 25-17, 25-13.

Eisenhower had strong play at the net by seniors Layla Edwards and Riley Robinault all night.

The Knights were led by Layla Edwards, who had 12 kills and three aces. Junior Paisley Lawson had a nice night, contributing nine kills, an ace and 21 digs. Peyton Matson and Riley Robinault each added four kills. Junior Alanna Byrd added six aces.

Eisenhower is back in action Wednesday when Cambridge Springs visits Russell for a 6 p.m. Region 2 matchup.
