Dragons post boys soccer win over Franklin
FRANKLIN — The Warren boys soccer team traveled to Franklin on Tuesday and defeated the Knights 8-0.
The dominant win was highlighted by hat tricks from both Quinn Norris and Jack Chapman. Mason Warner and Trey Carrington each notched one goal. Dragon assists were from Gabe Dougherty with three, and Timmy Giger, Luc Wilkins and Reilly Morgan with one each.
Steals leaders included Norris with 19, Giger with 16, Kyle Jones with 12 and Trey Carrington with 12.
Head coach Steffen Blair noted, “The boys did a great job of being patient, moving the ball, and creating some really good chances,” Warren head coach Steffen Blair said. “(Franklin) is a young, well-coached team that made us work for everything we got.”
Goalkeeper Adon Maier notched three saves, and Aidan Sweet had two saves.
In junior varsity play, the Dragons tied the Knights 0-0.
Warren travels to Bradford on Thursday for a 6 p.m. varsity start.
