Warren XC runs at HOKA Kickoff Classic
ELLWOOD CITY — The Warren girls cross country team finished 23rd at the HOKA Kickoff Classic XC Showcase this Saturday at Riverside High School.
The overall winner for the girls was Avon’s Kaitlyn Reese at 17:44, while the team title went to Norwin which had three girls finish top 10 and another take a spot in the top 15.
The top runners for the Lady Dragons are Morgan Alexander in 77th at 20:43, Leona Hovan in 84th at 20:48, Riley Evan in 99th at 21:11, Emma Peterson 143rd in 22:03, Ella Cull in 213th at 24:01 and Rose Rioux in 239th at 27:17.
The highest overall finish for Warren came from the boys team with Leyton Salvatore taking 73rd, helping the Dragons take 34th as a team.
Salvatore was followed behind Cole Fitzgerald in 131st at 17:59, Graysn Collopy in 172nd at 18:34, Levi Peterson in 258th at 20:43, Chase Fetzeck in 261st at 21:36 and Gavin Heeter in 265th at 22:03.
The overall team title was won by Woodridge with four runners finishing in the top 30, while North Allegany’s Gatik Hirwani posted the top high school finish at 15:52 and Sean Reith was the top overall runner coming out of Providence Pastures Running Club in Ohio with a time of 15:41.
