Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic scheduled for Saturday

EDITOR’S NOTE: The following story first appeared in the Times Observer last month, but with the Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic scheduled for Saturday at Bradford High School’s Parkway Field, it was deemed appropriate to run it again.

Eighty players from schools on either side of the New York-Pennsylvania border are scheduled to take part in the 2025 Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic, scheduled for Saturday at Bradford High School’s Parkway Field.

The final New York practice is scheduled for today at Salamanca, while the final Pennsylvania practice is scheduled for today at Otto-Eldred.

The all-star banquet was held last night at the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford’s dining hall.

PENNSYLVANIA

Eleven schools will send 41 players for the Pennsylvania team.

Five Eisenhower players will take part in this year’s game including: tight end/fullback/defensive end/outside linebacker Jaydon Chase, running back/outside linebacker/defensive back Ryan Chambers, guard/tackle/defensive tackle Aiden Heubach, offensive lineman/defensive tackle Seth Jensen and guard/tackle/defensive tackle Cole Yurchisin.

Sheffield will be represented by quarterback/outside linebacker/safety Colby Barr, running back/fullback/defensive tackle Alex Marfink and guard/tackle/defensive tackle Andrew Kyler.

Warren will have just one player in the game, guard/tackle/defensive end Devin Vantassel.

Smethport will be represented by wide receiver/cornerback Alex Yeager, wide receiver/safety Owen Rounsville and tight end/defensive tackle Boe Kinner.

Coudersport’s representatives include: wide receiver/cornerback Danny VanVladricken, quarterback/fullback/middle linebacker John Wright and running back/cornerback Connor Vanwagenen.

Cameron County have five players playing in the game: quarterback/wide receiver/outside linebacker Ryder Brown, wide receiver/defensive back Jake Narby, center/tight end/fullback/defensive lineman/middle linebacker Landon Farren, tackle/defensive tackle Maxx Newton and tight end/defensive end/outside linebacker Koby Shepard.

Wide receiver/outside linebacker/safety Davey Schenfield, running back/linebacker/safety Hunter App, running back/fullback/defensive end/outside linebacker Jaden Prince and tackle/defensive end/defensive tackle Charlie Minard will represent Otto-Eldred.

Wide receiver/safety Kelvin Burgess, tight end/defensive end Jacob Causer and guard/defensive lineman Carson Neely will represent Port Allegany.

St. Marys/Elk County Catholic will be represented by wide receiver/safety Ben Reynolds, quarterback/defensive back Ben Paul, offensive lineman/defensive tackle Aiden McAlee and guard/tackle/defensive tackle Ethan Ott.

Running back/outside linebacker/safety Levi Wilson, wide receiver/cornerback Austin Campbell, running back/middle linebacker Kane Scharba and guard/defensive tackle Cameron Severance will represent Kane.

Ridgway-Johnsonburg will feature running back/defensive end/linebacker Rocco Delhunty, center/defensive end Jordan Iozzo, guard/tackle/defensive tackle Hunter Viglione and running back/fullback/tight end/outside linebacker Michael Gerg.

Playing on their home field in Bradford will be wide receiver/defensive end Carter Colley and tackle/middle linebacker Evan Whitmore.

NEW YORK

The 39 players representing New York will come from 10 high schools.

Representing Allegany-Limestone will be tight end/wide receiver/defensive end Gavin Straub and running back/fullback/tight end/middle linebacker Zane Gleason.

From Cattaraugus-Little Valley will be quarterback/wide receiver/defensive back DJ Szata, wide receiver/defensive back Josiah Lenahan, guard/tackle/middle linebacker Noah Fuller and guard/center/defensive tackle/middle linebacker Chase Marshall.

Representing Salamanca will be wide receiver/safety Cory Holleran, running back/defensive end Xavier Peters, wide receiver/cornerback Dakota Colts, quarterback/defensive back Maddox Isaac, wide receiver/safety Kyle Lecceardone, running back/fullback/middle linebacker Zachary Trietley and center/defensive lineman Kruz Coustenis.

Franklinville/Ellicottville will be represented by running back/cornerback Carter Smith, wide receiver/outside linebacker Bretton Blecha, running back/fullback/middle linebacker Collin Mooney, quarterback/outside linebacker Isaac Towne, running back/defensive end Billy Slavinski, center/defensive tackle Shea Smith, tackle/defensive lineman Ethan Allen and guard/tackle/defensive tackle Ryan Metzger.

Frewsburg’s lone representatives will be wide receiver/running back/linebacker Blake Weaver and guard/tackle/defensive end Greyson Lewis.

Southwestern will be represented by wide receiver/cornerback Trent Casselman and quarterback/outside linebacker Owen Hayes.

Quarterback/cornerback Logan Fleischman and center/defensive tackle Noah Ochoa will represent Pioneer.

Portville/Cuba-Rushford/Hinsdale will be represented by wide receiver/defensive back Landen Schappacher, running back/fullback/middle linebacker Brock Gagliardo, running back/linebacker Maxx DeYoe, running back/safety Cole Keesler, running back/fullback/defensive end Breckham Hunt, guard/tackle/tight end/fullback/defensive end Kadin Pierce and guard/defensive tackle Henry Chamberlain.

Randolph’s lone representatives will be running back/safety Connor Braley and tackle/defensive tackle Nate Hahn.

Olean will be represented by running back/fullback/outside linebacker Manoah Miketish, running back/fullback/middle linebacker Noah Gallo and guard/defensive end Jackson Kahm.

Salamanca head coach Chad Bartoszek will lead the New York team, assisted by Paul Furlong, Seth Hostetler, Aaron Hill, Jerry Parisis and Greg Herrick.

Otto-Eldred head coach Troy Cook will lead the Pennsylvania team, assisted by Shawn Rounsville, Boyd Fitzsimmons, Chris Schwab, Cameron Magee and Josh Rounsville.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at Parkway Field in Bradford. New York won last year 39-18, its first time winning the game since 2015.
