The Eisenhower volleyball team swept Oil City 25-16, 25-23 and 25-13 on Tuesday.
The Knights opened up an early lead in each game. While Oil City battled back in the second game, it was clutch serves by Rachel Lucks to close it out.
Senior Laney Font had five aces and sophomore Meredith Smyth had 11 kills to lead Eisenhower.
Eisenhower head coach Lori Pascuzzi was happy to open the season with a win and praised her team.
“It is good to open the season with a win,” she said. “We have some things to clean up and work through, but overall we played well as a team and got the job done.
“Lainey, Alanna Byrd and Paisley Lawson had great effort tonight. The three of them combined for over 40 digs and over 25 good serve reception passes.”
The Eisenhower junior varsity also swept the Oilers, 25-15 and 25-10.
