Oldtimers baseball
Ted Wyberanec was hit by pitch with the bases loaded as the Jamestown & Area Oldtimers walked off South Hills (Pittsburgh, 10-9, on Sunday in 50+ baseball at Old Legion Field in North Warren.
Ed Baldensperger started and threw eight innings for Jamestown (6-3), and Winnie Woodard finished it off for the win.
Brian Ferry had two hits and scored three runs from the leadoff spot. Ron Thomas added two hits and scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth. Glenn Morse also had two hits and reached base all four times.
Miguel Evangelista doubled in the win.
Hole-in-one
RUSSELL — Randy Brown recorded his fourth career hole-in-one on July 16.
He scored the ace on the par 3 No. 5 at Cable Hollow Golf Course using a pitching wedge. The shot was witnessed by Skip Cusimano, Greg Anderson and Bruce Fagerstrom.
