YMCA hosts Super Bowl Sizzler

LAKEWOOD, N.Y. -- The Lakewood YMCA recently hosted Super Bowl Sizzler tennis tournament.
Gabe Dougherty won the Rising Stars Boys Singles title 6-1, 6-0 over Andy Dollard.
Dougherty beat Bentley Huber 6-2, 6-0 in the quarterfinals and Gavin Mealy 6-0, 6-1 in the semifinals. Dollard topped Kaden Werner 6-1, 6-1 in the quarterfinals and Lincoln Olsen 6-0, 6-2 in the semifinals. The other quarterfinals saw Mealy top Levi Peterson 6-4, 6-0 and Olsen beat Sebastian Lawson 6-4, retired.
In the High School Boys Singles, Charbel Moubarak beat Adam Strandburg 6-7 (4), 6-0, 10-4 to claim the championship.
In the prequarterfinals, Nikil Raja beat Yamen Kolasinli 6-2, 6-1; Jack Sherry topped Ben Scott 6-1, 6-1; Strandburg beat Jason Leenders 6-1, 6-0; Brody Alexander beat Finn Ordiway and Rowen Wilcko topped Josh Westover.
In the quarterfinals, Strandburg beat Sherry 7-5, 3-6, 10-7; Moubarak beat Alexander 6-1, 6-0; David Mikotowicz topped Raja 6-0, 6-3; and Colin Troutman beat Wilcko 6-3, 6-0.
In the semifinals, Strandburg beat Mikotowicz 7-5, 1-6, 11-9 and Moubarak beat Troutman 6-4, 6-4.
Myla Brainard beat Lucy Harrison 6-0, 6-4 in the High School Girls Singles final.
Harrison beat Olivia Romanosky 6-0, retired in the semifinals, while Brainard advanced to the final with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Grace Carlson.
The High School Coed final was postponed due to inclement weather.
Kolasinli and Dougherty beat Mealy and Werner 6-2, 6-0; Elliot Striker and Collin Ellis beat Westover and Owen Baldensperger 6-3, 6-2; and Ben Scott and Ordiway topped Tobiah Reinard and Alexander.
In the quarterfinals, Troutman and Aryan Noticewala topped Kolainli and Dougherty; Sherry and Grace Kutschke beat Harrison and Carlson; and Strandburg and Lynds also advanced.
Troutman and Noticewala beat Sherry and Kutchske 6-2, 6-1 in one semifinal, while Mikotowicz and Wilcko beat Strandburg and Lynds 6-4, 7-5 in the other semifinal.
