As hot as the Eisenhower Knights were on Friday night at the Otto-Eldred Randy Stebbins Tip-Off Tournament, it was the hosts with a shooting touch during Saturday’s championship game.

The Terrors started hot and never cooled down as they defeated the Knights 71-31.

Both teams were solid on the defensive end of the court to start the game and were careful with their shot selection, but the Terrors held a slight 12-7 lead at the end of the opening quarter.

The Terrors Landon Francis scored 10 of his game high 28 points in the second quarter as Otto-Eldred outscored the Knights 15-6 to take a 28-13 lead into the half.

Otto-Eldred came out of the locker room and hit 5 3-pointers to put the game out of reach, opening up a 52-23 lead heading into the final quarter.

The Knights had no answer for the Terrors’ one-two punch of Francis and Manning Splain who finished with 19 points. The two players connected for 11 3-pointers in the game.

Francis led all scorers with 28 points.

The Knights were led by Austin Hanson who had 12 points and teammate Gavin Lindemuth who added 10 points.

The Knights are back in action tonight for their only game this week when they travel to Kane to take on the wolves, jayvee action starts at 6 p.m. with the varsity game following.
