Ike runners Grosch, Mistretta compete at Hershey Park

HERSHEY — Eisenhower seniors Joe Mistretta and Emily Grosch finished their high school cross country careers at Saturday’s PIAA 1A Championships at Hershey Park.

Grosch was 99th out of 247 female runners in 22:38.

Mistretta finished the boys race in 121st out of 260 in 19 minutes.

“We are very proud of Joe and Emily,” said Eisenhower coach Darlene Beach. “Both are super kids and have been such an important part of our team. Joe has been running since seventh grade and has been the leader of the varsity boys the last three years. Emily sets such a good example with her strong work ethic. Making it to states was a great way to end their high school cross country careers.”
