Youngsville beats Tidioute Community Charter for second volleyball victory
TIDIOUTE — Youngsville rolled past Tidioute Charter for its second victory of the season Thursday at Tidioute Community Charter School.
The Eagles won the opening set 25-4 before winning the final two sets of the evening by identical scores of 25-12.
Riley Robinault clicked off 13 straight service points in the opening game as Youngsville jumped out to an 18-2 lead and never looked back.
The second game started out a bit more competitive with Youngsville leading just 11-7 with Rachael Lucks stepping up to the service line. Lucks clicked off six straight points, including a pair of aces as the Eagles took control of the set and ultimately took a 2-0 lead in the match.
Youngsville scored the first nine points of the third set and rolled to the finish line to win for the second time in 2024.
Madilynn Johnson led the winners in kills, aces and assists with five, six and 12, respectively. Kamden Swearingen added a team-high six digs.
The Eagles dropped the junior varsity outing two sets to one with scores of 25-11, 23-25, 15-7. Maci Benton led the Eagles with three kills, five assists and four digs.
