FRANKLIN — Eisenhower had five top-50 finishes at Saturday’s Rocky Grove Cross Country Invitational at Two Mile Run Park.

Eisenhower’s girls finished ninth out of 17 teams. Emily Grosch finished 27th out of 139 runners in 22:51, Peyton Kellogg 30th in 22:56, and Izzy Grosch 42nd in 23:45. Other Lady Knights included Callie Delp (61st, 24:58) and Lilly Cathcart (110th, 29:24).

For Ike’s boys, who finished 15th out of 20 teams, Joe Mistretta was 37th out of 167 in 19:20 and Alex Lund was right behind in 42nd in 19:29. Other Knights included Mason Britt (81st, 20:41), Carson Ferman (89th, 20:54), Brice Ludwick (140th, 23:06), Aidon Knowles (141st, 23:12), Jonathan Bogniak (161st, 27:46).

“The conditions at the Rocky Grove Invitational are often cold and muddy, but on Saturday we had good weather and a dry course,” said Eisenhower coach Darlene Beach. “I think a few of our kids were actually disappointed they didn’t get to run in the mud. Overall, it was a good day for us. We had nine kids get awards over the four races. We head to North East on Tuesday for our final Region 4 meet of the season.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
