SHEFFIELD — Eisenhower volleyball advanced to the championship before falling to Port Allegany on Saturday at the Sheffield volleyball tournament at Sheffield High School.

Port won Pool A and Eisenhower Pool B, so the teams were lined up to meet in the final.

Host Sheffield was second to Port Allegany in Pool A, then defeated Moniteau to advanced to the semifinals in bracket play. Port topped Smethport in three quarterfinals before beating Austin to advance to the championship match.

Eisenhower defeated Youngsville in the quarterfinals, then topped Sheffield to advance to the final.

Curwensville, Forest Area and Tidioute Community Charter also participated in the 10-team tournament.
