Youngsville falls to North Clarion
YOUNGSVILLE — Youngsville was unable to build on the momentum of its first win of the season during a 3-0 loss to North Clarion on Monday at Youngsville High School.
Three days after winning their first match of the season in a five-set thriller over Forest Area, the Lady Eagles (1-7) fell in straight sets 25-14, 25-16, 25-21.
Kamden Swearingen paced the Youngsville effort in defeat, delivering four aces and seven kills. Madi Johnson added nine assists and shared the team-lead in digs with Marli Rectenwald as each player finished with nine apiece.
Youngsville dropped the junior varsity contest in two sets 25-12, 25-23. Shay Reilly had three digs and Maci Benton finished with three kills.
The Eagles are back in action today when they host Saegertown.
