Degnan sends Eisenhower past Iroquois
RUSSELL — The Eisenhower Knights won a hard-fought Region 4 battle against Iroquois on Monday afternoon 2-1.
Logan Degnan scored both of the Knights’ goals in the first half.
Eisenhower fought off a furious attacking offense by Iroquois in the second half to get the win.
“I can’t say enough about the game that Logan had,” Eisenhower head coach Mike Taylor said. “I also thought Easton Fitzgerald had a great game defensively and our goalie Casey Seymour had a solid game in the net and just a big stop on an Iroquois penalty kick in the second half that was huge for us.”
Eisenhower is back in action Wednesday when it welcomes Seneca for a 5 p.m. start.
