Warren’s Boys Minors all-star team is staying alive, even if it’s adding a few gray hairs to parents in the stands. On Monday at Betts-Jackson Field, Warren came from behind to beat DuBois for the second time in this Little League 8-10-year-old baseball tournament — this time 11-6 in an elimination game.
Trailing 4-0, Warren cut the lead in half in the bottom of the second inning. Titus Hoak led off with a walk and Theo Andersen followed with a bunt hit down the third-base line. A DuBois error scored Hoak, and Cameron Briggs singled in Andersen to cut the lead to 4-2.
DuBois plated two more runs in the top of fourth for a 6-2 lead, but Warren erupted for eight runs in the bottom half and finished the game scoring nine unanswered runs.
Max Papalia started the fourth-inning eruption with a double to deep center. Hoak, Andersen, Briggs and Griff Davidson followed with walks. Lincoln Mortenson smacked an RBI single, and Evan Wilcox followed with a walk. Jansen Walters and Ackron Hoisington plated RBI singles to end the scoring with a 10-6 Warren lead.
In the bottom of the fifth, Parker Stanton singled and later scored on Briggs’ second RBI hit of the game.

Solid pitching and clutch fielding locked in the win for Warren (4-1).
Warren pitching struck out just two Dubois batters, but teammates played solid defense behind Stanton, Wilcox, and Papalia. Glade Rulander gunned down a runner at the plate from center field to keep the lead at 4-0 in the second inning. Davidson ended the game with a sliding outfield catch.
Wilcox entered on the mound in the second inning and pitched through the fifth for the win. Hoisington, Walters and Briggs had two hits each for Warren, which advances to play at Punxsutawney (3-1) at 6 p.m. tonight in the losers bracket final. The winner will have to beat Bradford (3-0) twice for the Little League District 10 championship. Bradford handed both Punxsy (5-2) and Warren (11-2) their only losses in the 10-team tourney.
Also on Monday, Warren’s Girls Minors 8-10 All-Stars were eliminated in a 16-0 loss at Bradford.
