With a shortage of high school football officials, the Warren Dragons have a game on Thursday and one on Saturday on their 2024 schedule.

The new PIAA two-year classification cycle sees Warren bump to 4A out of an all-Class 4A Region 6 with Franklin, Oil City, Meadville, and General McLane.

Warren opens at home (War Memorial Field) in a non-region game against 3A Conneaut at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23.

Week 2, in a non-region game at 3A Corry will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 29.

The Dragons open their Region 6 schedule at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, by hosting Franklin at War Memorial Field.

In week 4, Warren travels to 5A Cathedral Prep at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13. Also 7 p.m. Friday non-region games, the Dragons travel to 3A Titusville on Sept. 20 and host 3A Girard on Sept. 27.

Warren’s October schedule includes the final three of four Region 6 games. At 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, Warren travels to region opponent General McLane. At 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, the Dragons will host Oil City. Six days later, Warren plays at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Meadville.

Depending on playoffs, the 10th game on the regular-season schedule is a home game against 3A North East at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25.

Warren (0-10 overall) was 0-7 last season against 2024 opponents.
