After an 11-1 four-inning win at Potter/McKean on Friday to open the Boys Minors 8-10 Little League District 10 All-Stars Tournament, Warren trailed DuBois 3-0 after the first inning on Sunday. Warren scored six runs from the third inning on, and with the help of Glade Rulander’s tying and go-ahead two-RBI hit, held off DuBois 6-5 at Betts-Jackson Field in Warren.

Trailing DuBois 4-0 after three errors in three innings, Warren calmed down for the final three innings.

Warren plated three runs in the bottom of the third inning. After two walks and a DuBois error, Ackron Hoisington’s double cleared the bases to cut the lead to one run.

Trailing 5-3 in the bottom of the fourth, Titus Hoak tripled to lead off the inning and scored on Theo Anderson’s single.

Down 5-4 in the fifth, Evan Wilcox reached on a one-out single and Hoisington walked with two outs. Glade Rulander’s two-out base hit gave Warren its first lead — a lead it would hold on to with a scoreless top of the sixth inning. Parker Stanton started on the mound and threw 2-2/3 innings. Wilcox threw the final 3-1/3 innings for Warren, stranding a DuBois runner in the sixth with three infield outs.
