Sanshiro Abe, former Penn State NCAA champion and Japanese Olympic team member, will conduct a clinic at the Kinzua Wrestling Club on Thursday.

The session will run from 6-7:30 p.m. and is open free of charge to all registered participants. Abe currently coaches the Pit Bull Wrestling Club in Pittsburgh.

As a wrestler, Abe competed at Penn State, finished fourth, third, second, and was the NCAA champion at 126 pounds in 1996. He then competed for his native Japan in the 1996 Olympics, finishing ninth. He has had coaching stints at North Allegheny and Central Catholic high schools in Pittsburgh.
