Lady Dragons stay unbeaten on track

OIL CITY — Warren’s girls track team went 2-0 on Tuesday in a tri-meet wins against Oil City and Union-Allegheny Clarion Valley at Oil City High School.

“We had a good day at Oil City in terms of some personal-bests and some new qualifiers for districts,” said Warren coach Kevin Dustin. “Our girls team remains undefeated on the season. We are really pushing for it with one meet left and a region championship on the line.”

For the Lady Dragons, Morgan Alexander won the 1,600 in 5:39.02, Laney Gatto won pole vault in 10 feet, 6 inches, Katrina Seamens won discus in 80-11 and Kylie Fehlman won javelin in 104-02.

Teammates Lindsay Madigan and Madelyn Nosel finished 1-2 in the 100-meter dash (13.15 seconds to 13.41), and Nosel won the 200 in 27.69. Madigan was second in the triple jump.

Lilly Newton won the 800 in 2:35.54, and she was second in the high jump at 4-10.

Aurora Feaster was second in shot put, Tori McMichael in the 400, Adison Cullers in the 300 hurdles, Emma Peterson in the 3200, and Gracie Page in pole vault.

For Warren’s boys, despite two team losses, Sam Lindell won the 1,600 by under two seconds (4:39.47), and he was third in the 800, losing by less than two seconds. Parker Anderson was fourth in shot put in the tri-meet, Tommaso Clemente fifth in the 100, and Lucas Douvlos was sixth in javelin.
