Knights to host fundraising movie night

The Eisenhower baseball program is trying a new fundraising idea this coming Friday, with all money earmarked for the baseball program.

The Knights have received permission to have a showing of the baseball movie “The Sandlot” and will be presenting it on a large screen at the ball fields at Werner Park.

“We really want this to be a safe, fun family event,” said Eisenhower head baseball coach Allan Jackson.

The price for admission is set for $5 per car. Concessions and basket raffles will be going on all evening as well as kickball, cornhole and other activities to keep any younger kids busy until the movie starts at dusk.

“We hope people come out to this who are looking for a fun family event,” Jackson said. “If it’s a success, we hope to do more in the future. Bring your family and friends, a chair, blanket or air mattress and come out for a great time.”
