Knights lose early lead to Iroquois

ERIE — The Eisenhower Knights could not hold on to an early 2-0 lead and fell to the Iroquois Braves 14-3 in Region 2 softball Monday.

Eisenhower’s Riley Gafner drove in two runs during a first inning that was aided by an Iroquois error.

The lead did not last long as the Braves would score in each of the next four innings, highlighted by a seven-run fourth to put the game away.

The Knights were outhit 15-3 in the game.

Eisenhower was led by Samantha Childs, Payton Frank and Kendra Danielson, who each singled, with Danielson adding an RBI.

Eisenhower is back in action today when it travels to Cambridge Springs to face the Blue Devils.
