Eisenhower girls 2nd, boys 6th at Coudersport
COUDERSPORT — Eisenhower’s girls finished second and the boys finished sixth at the Coudersport Boosters Track & Field Invitational on Friday.
Sophia Martin won the pole vault and tied the Eisenhower school record in the event at a height of 9 feet. She also won the long jump.
The Knights’ Rosalie Rondeau took first in the triple jump and second in the 200 meters.
Eisenhower’s 1,600-meter relay team of Emily Grosch, Lainey Font, Marissa Gourley and Lexi Scholar also took first place.
Individually, Grosch was second in the 800 meters and sixth in the 1,600 meters; Gourley was third in the 100-meter hurdles and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles; and Scholar was fourth in the 400 meters.
Emily Grosch, Izzy Grosch, Peyton Kellogg and Scholar were also third in the 3,200-meter relay.
The girls finished with 79 points, four behind first-place Coudersport.
For the boys, Joe Mistretta won the 400 meters and took second in the 800 meters. Ryan Chambers was second in the 200 meters and fifth in the 100 meters. Joe Gigliotti qualified for the District 10 meet with a third-place finish in the 3,200 meters and also took sixth in the 1,600 meters. Case Seymour was third in the triple jump, Bryceton Wilkins tied for fifth in the high jump and Joel Sorrell was sixth in the discus.
The boys finished with 47.5 points. Coudersport and Port Allegany tied for first with 74 points apiece.
