The Dragons also swept Kennedy Catholic, 5-0, for their second win of the day.

“We rested the majority of our starters in this one so it was nice to give some varsity time to our five JV players who came along,” said Warren coach Thomas Pellegrino.

At first singles, Lynds defeated Chris Williams, 6-0, 6-0.

Alexander also defeated Saris Grace, 6-0, 6-0.

At third singles, Tobiah Reinard swept Tierney Scullin, 6-0, 6-0.

At top doubles, Collin Ellis and Owen Baldensberger defeated James Brockenhurst and Glenn Miller, 6-0, 6-0.

Finn Ordiway and Elliot Striker also shut out their opponents, 6-0, 6-0.

“Overall, we are happy with the results today,” said Pellegrino. “With how many cancellations we have had this season, it was great to play in some nice weather and grab two more region wins on the year.”

Warren is 6-1 overall and 5-0 in Region 1 play.

“We have a packed schedule next week with matches scheduled Monday through Saturday,” said Pellegrino. “We kick off the week with the biggest match of the season against the Greenville Trojans Monday at 4 p.m. at Betts in a region showdown.”
