Eisenhower fielded a young wrestling team this season and struggled for team wins, but four of their senior wrestlers were recently named District 10 Region 3 Second-Team All-Stars.

Honored for the first time was Derek Childs at 145 pounds. Childs finished the season with an 18-18 mark. Also being honored for the first time was JJ Darr at 215 pounds. Darr was a last-minute addition to the Knights’ squad and finished with a 13-19 record. Both Childs and Darr were district qualifiers.

Cole Kellogg, wrestling at 152 pounds, received second-team honors for the second time. He finished with a 24-17 mark and ended his high school career with a 64-48 overall record. Kellogg was a region qualifier as well.

Rounding out Eisenhower’s region all-star honors was senior Tucker Lindell at 160 pounds. This is the third time Lindell has been named to the second team after being a district qualifier and posting a 25-10 record. He closed out his high school career with an overall record of 84-44.

“I’m really proud of each of these young men for receiving all-region honors,” Eisenhower head coach Jared Lindell said. “They are true examples of hard work paying off. Hopefully, our younger wrestlers take note of their accomplishments.”
