Eisenhower falls again

RUSSELL — The Eisenhower Knights continue to search for their first win of the season as they dropped Monday’s nonregion game to Jamestown 14-0.

The Muskies had a big first inning as they went through their batting order to take an 8-0 lead. They would add another run in the second inning to take a 9-0 lead.

Eisenhower could not figure out Jamestown starting pitcher Miranda Biles. She was dominant on the mound, only giving up three hits. Bile only threw 73 pitches with 53 of them going for strikes. She struck out 11 Knights in her complete-game victory.

Morgan Zaffino went 2 for 2 to lead Eisenhower at the plate.

Eisenhower will be back at it today as it travels to Maplewood to take on the Tigers in a 4 p.m. Region 2 game.
