It was a tough day on the diamond for both the Eisenhower baseball and softball teams Wednesday as they both suffered losses to Maplewood at Werner Park. In the baseball game, the Knights managed only one hit by Cole Kellogg in an 11-0 setback. Caleb Jakubczak took the loss on the mound. Meanwhile, in the softball game, Eisenhower suffered a 12-1 loss. The Lady Knights’ lone run came in the first inning when Alanna Byrd led off with a double and later scored on a fielder’s choice by Tracey Jakubczak. Payton Frank had the only other Eisenhower hit, a double in the sixth inning.
