The Eisenhower wrestlers had a good opening day in sectionals Friday with three advancing into the semifinal round.

Those moving by virtue of pins are Derek Childs at 145 pounds, Cole Kellogg at 152 and Tucker Lindell at 160.

Five Eisenhower wrestlers — Rever Caudill (107), Shawn Miller (114), Griffin Williams (121), Bryceton Wilkins (172) and JJ Darr (215) — are still alive in the consolation round.

The Knights have three girls wrestling today in their district tournament. They are Bryn Lindell (112), Nakita Nelson (124) and Abbie Darr (170). Only the top two wrestlers advance to states in each weight class.
