Bound for Allegheny College

1 min read

Eisenhower senior Kris Bunk, second from left, signs his national letter of intent to continue his athletic and academic career at Allegheny College in the fall. Joining him are his parents, Kris and Heather, and his sister, Katie. A tight end and defensive end for the Knights, Bunk was a formidable weapon for the Knights, accumulating 42 receptions for 767 yards and 12 touchdowns. Defensively, he recorded 12 solo tackles, 34 assists, 16 tackles for loss and recovered six fumbles. On special teams, he completed his only pass attempt for a two-point conversion. That versatility is what caught the eye of the Allegheny College head coach Brandon Layer. "We couldn't be more excited to have Kris join our program. He is really a hybrid type of player, who has the versatility to help us in our run program as well as a receiver. We place a high value on character and he has that. He will be a great addition to our program. We expect him to do well here in the classroom and on the football field."
