ERIE — Eisenhower’s road trip to Iroquois was a successful one Thursday as the Knights rolled to a 60-20 girls basketball victory.

Clara Steinberg led the way with 23 points and Lainey Font added 22 as Eisenhower, which also connected on six 3-point goals, improved to 6-5 on the season.

“The girls played really well and controlled the pace in the second quarter, which allowed us to jump out to the big halftime lead,” said Eisenhower coach DJ Steinberg.

The second-quarter advantage — 17-3 to be exact — pushed the Knights’ lead to 31-12 at the break.

In the second half, Eisenhower held the Braves to eight points. Offensively, Steinberg and Font combined for 27 points.

In the junior varsity game, the Knights won 34-5. Leading the way was Samantha Childs with 12 points.
