“We did a great job rebounding the basketball and using our inside game,” said Warren coach Lisa LaVan. “We put in a great game plan, and they executed it to perfection.”

Alyssa Farr’s seven points led five Dragon scorers in the first quarter. Teammate Halle Kuzminski added seven points of her own in the second quarter as Warren held on to a 36-22 halftime lead.

Sacred Heart would muster just three more field goals in the second half, and no players finished in double figures in scoring.

Farr finished with 13 points, Kuzminski 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Alana Stuart 10 points and six rebounds to lead eight Dragon scorers.

After 21 points in Friday’s first-round game, Warren point guard Sammie Ruhlman was named the tourney’s Offensive MVP. She had five points, 10 assists and six rebounds on Saturday. Farr was named the Defensive MVP, and Ruhlman and Farr joined Kuzminski and Stuart on the all-tournament team.
