Warren’s girls tennis team is 6-1 after a home sweep of Mercyhurst Prep on Friday at Betts Park.

The win was a day after a 5-0 loss at Cathedral Prep — the Dragons’ only blemish on the season.

In singles play on Friday, Iris Kiehl, Mary Gerace, and Lucy Harrison all came out on top, only giving up a total of five games.

“All three girls rebounded well from our match Thursday and captured some nice wins, giving us some confidence going into our five-match schedule in six days, starting (Saturday),” said Warren coach Thomas Pellegrino.

In doubles action on Friday, the pairs of Izzy Heacox and Natasha Ferry and Mackenzie Lester and Kaelin Hatfield won as well in the 5-0 sweep.
