Warren, Forest Area compete at Tam O’Shanter Invitational

HERMITAGE — Teams from Warren and Forest Area competed on Tuesday at the Tam O’Shanter High School Invitational.
“This is the longest-running high school golf tournament in the United States with the greatest size field,” said John Wortman, head coach of the Forest Area Fires. “Tam O’Shanter’s format was five-person teams counting four scores.”
Warren shot a team score of 399. Individually, the Dragons were led by Collin Ellis at 95, Gavin Hibach 98, Eli Snyder 101, Presley Weldon 105, and Carter Cochran 108.
Forest Area had a team score of 449 with Keyon Custer shooting an 18-hole 100, Ezra Busch 111, Jonah Glass 116, Zach Carll 122, and Colton Kuntz 123.
The winner of the invitational was Meadville with a team score of 328 and the medalist was Jordan Keller of Ellwood City, shooting a 72.
