BRADFORD — Warren’s girls tennis team is 7-1 after a win on Monday at Bradford
“D9 schools play a different format than D10, so when we go there, it gives us the opportunity to get in a few extra starters,” said Warren coach Thomas Pellegrino.
In singles action, Iris Kiehl, Mary Gerace, Lucy Harrison, and Grace Carr all pulled out 8-0 wins for the Dragons.
In doubles, Warren pulled out multiple victories in both varsity and junior varsity match play. The pairs of Izzy Heacox and Tasha Ferry, Winnie Wolf and Kaelin Hatfield, and Sarah Harvey and Anna Courson all won.
“This was a nice win and gave us some confidence to get ready for our Region 2 matchup with Erie High at Betts tomorrow,” said Pellegrino. “We defeated them, 4-1, a few weeks back, but won’t be taking them lightly as a few of the matches were close.”
