Warren’s boys soccer team extended a 1-0 halftime lead to defeat Saegertown 4-0 on Wednesday in a Region 4 match at War Memorial Field.
“We were a bit impatient in the first half,” said Warren coach Steffen Blair. “This was another team that played very compact and were content without possession. We were much sharper in the second half and started to move the ball well. Brody (Alexander), Quinn (Norris), and Chase (Sitler) were really strong in possession in the second half and helped us get back to our game. We created a lot of good chances, but we definitely left a lot out there tonight. That’s something we’ll continue to work and improve on.”
Jack Chapman put home a penalty kick in the first half and added a second goal in the second half. Casey Rich and Finn Ordiway also blasted in goals, and Gavin Rex and Quinn Norris had assists.
Norris had eight steals and Sitler seven to control possession for Warren (7-4-1 overall and 7-2 in region).
Saegertown remains winless in Region 4.
