On a night full of big numbers, Warren’s 25-1 second-game win wasn’t even the biggest.

“We definitely played the way we were capable of playing tonight in front of a great crowd and the Flannel Panel (student section),” said Warren coach Mike Dolan, whose Dragons won 25-14, 25-1, 25-16 over Hickory at Warren Area High School.

The big numbers started even before the match with seniors Kylie Fehlman and Summer Lucks and junior Lindsay Madigan recognized for high school career accomplishments; Lucks for her 1,000th career dig and Madigan for her 1,000th career assist, both on Tuesday at Grove City, and Fehlman for her 150th career block on Sept. 11 vs. Mercyhurst Prep.

“The three who were recognized all did their thing very well tonight,” said Dolan. “We were able to control the ball in the back row and give our offense lots of opportunities to attack.”

Madigan had 32 assists, 5 kills, 6 digs, and 2 aces on Thursday. Lucks contributed 18 digs and 4 assists, and Lily Walker 3 digs and 2 assists.

“The front row players all took advantage of that and took some great swings,” said Dolan. “We also had a terrific serving night, including nice runs by Madelyn Nosel and Malysia Sorensen.”

Fehlman finished with 11 kills and a block, Maddy Jones 9 kills and 5 digs, Alexia Bowers 8 kills and 6 digs, and Nosel 6 kills and 3 aces. Julia Getner had 2 kills and 1 block, Lilly Newton 1 kill and 1 block, and Sorensen 2 aces.

Warren is 10-1-3 overall and 2-0 in Region 5.
