Matt White had quite the day for White’s Excavating in the Warren Midtown Motors League on April 6 as he smashed a perfect game rolling 223-239-300-762.

Cody Vincent hammered 245-215-246-706, Joe Letendre knocked 258-662, Alex Johnson tossed 223-645, Paul Bobelak rolled 258-623, Keith White banged 248-619, Casey Vincent racked up 232-604, Dale Johnson smacked 215-600, Dave English hit 212-592 and Blaine Gunn had 211-572.

The week before, Casey Vincent led the Warren Midtown Motors League with 258-226-289-773 for White’s Excavating and Alex Johnson shined for Milk and Hunni Ministries with a 245-239-247-728.

The Ben-Gay Bombers were league champions in the Silver Sliders Bowling League.

Paul Bobelak smashed 247-562 to lead the Daybreakers League at Valley Bowling Center.

Baseball tryouts

Warren Post 135 Junior Legion baseball tryouts will be held Sunday, April 23 at Legion Field at the end of Plumer Street in North Warren.

Registration begins at 5 p.m., followed by the tryouts at 5:30 p.m.

The tryouts are open to any players who live in Warren County between the ages of 12 and 16 (they cannot turn 17 in 2023). They must be able to provide an original birth certificate (no photocopies will be accepted) or a previous year’s legion card in lieu of the birth certificate.
