For the second time in school history, Warren Area High School's competitive spirit squad has advanced to Day 2 of the PIAA Large School 2A state championships after Friday's scoring in Hershey. Warren placed fifth at states a year ago and will compete on Saturday for a chance to medal -- which the Dragons have never done -- by placing in the top 2. "Our goal is to up ourselves," said Warren coach Melissa Feaster, whose Dragons have advanced straight to Saturday's finals as part of the top 25% of Friday's scoring. "Obviously, we would love to medal. I asked the girls, and they said (their goal is) to hit zero in deductions."
