fundraisers

The Warren County USBC recently held two tournaments for charity at Valley Bowling Center.

The Bowl for a Cure Tournament raised $775 that will be donated to the Warren Cancer Center. Top bowlers were Joe Letrendre and Michelle Enos.

The Veterans In-House Tournament collected $570 that will be donated to the local Veterans Association. Top bowlers were Jed Kepple, Linda Critzer, Madalyn Perry and Tommy Jukes.

Bowling scores

Mike Spiesman’s 214-207-579 led the Daybreakers League at Valley Bowling Center on Monday.

Jed Kepple had a 238-575 and Marge Peters rolled a 167-173-497.

Last Monday, Kepple led with a 277-611 and Peters spun a 161-181-489.

Cindy Shafer’s 192-499 paced the Youngsville Ladies League at Valley Bowling Center.

Amy Willsie had a 172-479, Cindy Reasbeck rolled a 171-473, Mary Grunden had a 178-465 and Cheri Wolfgang spilled a 171-461.

Tom Traub had a 224-634 and Joe Yaegle followed with a 229-624 to lead the Rusted Nutz Garage League at Valley Bowling Center.

Jim Frazier cracked a 208-560, Thad Steuart had a 218-546, Darcy Rex drilled a 181-503 and Megan Evans had a 178-460.

Rhonda Crippen’s 172-469 paced the Ladies Church League at Valley Bowling Center last Wednesday.

Deb Brewster had a 170-456.

Trap Leagues

Then Penn York Winter Trap League met last Sunday at the Brokenstraw Gun Club with 59 shooters present. There was not a perfect score shot.

The high Sub Junior Male was Hunter Kestler with 32. The high Sub Junior Female was Izabella Hurlburt with 34. The high Junior Male was Jacob Franklin with 40. The high Junior Female was Lydia Covert with 41. The high Lady was Taylor Hanna with 47. The high Veteran was Paul Prentice with 45. The high Senior Vet was a tie between Bill Congdon and Steve Lockwood with 42s.

The high Senior Vet last week was John Foster with a 50. The high Super Senior Vet was Bob Darney with 42.
