Ike outlasts Youngsville 3-1 in girls volleyball

In front of a packed and boisterous crowd, host Eisenhower held off Youngsville 3-1 in a girls volleyball match on Tuesday evening.
The Eagles won the first game 26-24 — Riley Robinault recorded the deciding point — but the Knights prevailed in the final three sets.
Eisenhower, buoyed by a racous student section, prevailed in the second game 25-14, and then went up 2-1, courtesy of strong efforts by Caroline Smyth and Layla Edwards at the net and strong service play by Rayna Hultman.
In the fourth game, Eisenhower jumped out to a 9-0 lead as Lexi Pascuzzi served the first nine points and went on to win 25-13 to secure the cross-county victory.
Eisenhower also won the junior varsity match, 25-14, 25-8.
