Dragons sweep LeBoeuf 25-12, 25-11, 25-16
With the Flannel Panel student section getting louder with every kill, Warren’s volleyball team swept Fort LeBoeuf on Tuesday at Warren Area High School.
“I thought our offense looked good,” said Warren coach Mike Dolan of the 25-12, 25-11, 25-16 non-region victory. “We were able to get a lot of good swings from all over the court. Lindsay (Madigan) did a great job keeping everyone involved, and our outsides, Maddy Jones and Alexia Bowers, did a great job finishing. Kylie Fehlman was a force at the net with five blocks and five kills. Summer Lucks keeps getting better and better at patrolling the back row and making plays. Overall, we did a nice job with serve and pass, which will be key going forward, including tomorrow’s game against Corry.”
Bowers finished with nine kills and four aces, Carly Beers had seven kills and seven digs, Jones added six kills and four aces, Lucks chipped in 10 digs, and Madigan contributed 21 assists.
“Shout out to the Flannel Panel,” said Dolan. “It’s nice to have that kind of fan support at home.”
Warren fell, 21-25, 25-16, 5-15, in the junior varsity match. Sophie Walker had 14 digs for Warren, Lauren Fajbik added four kills, Lilly Newton had two kills and two blocks, Sophia Fromknecht contributed one kill, and Delaney Wright chipped in four assists.
