Erie High had the first shot on goal — a miss — two minutes into the game before Warren erupted for nine first-half goals and a 10-1 Region 6 win Tuesday at Youngsville High School.

Meea Irwin finished with four goals and an assist and Georgie Bickling a goal and four assists in the double-digit scoring night for Warren (2-1 in the region). Leyna Irwin and Ella Ordiway had two goals apiece and Lauren Andersen added a goal. Leyna Irwin added two assists, and Ordiway, Andersen and Ella Getner assisted goals.

“Georgie draws a lot of attention and the Irwins do a great job getting into dangerous spaces,” Warren coach Jeremy Bickling said of the offensive attack. “We’ve made progress, but we still have some phases of the game we can clean up. We need improve our defending. … We face Bradford next Monday. That’s a big matchup for us.”
