Golf leagues

WARREN — Sons of the Legion leads the Tuesday Night League at Jackson Valley Golf Course with 161 points.

Park Avenue is second with 159.5 points followed by Fitzgerald Trucking (156.5), Tasta Pizza (154.5) and The Fab Four (149.5).

Doug Johnson and Dennis Johnson both earned 9 points this week followed by Shane Flannery (8.5) and Kihm Carlson (8).

On the front nine, Joe Saber fired the low gross with a 35 while Dennis Johnson and Bill Manning led the seniors with matching 42s. Paul Occhuizzo’s 33 led the senior net scores and Jason Eckman had a net 34.

On the back nine, Skete Williams shot the low gross with a 35 while Chet Loomis led the seniors, also with a 35. Matt Johnson had the low net with a 31 and Carlson led the seniors.

RUSSELL — Traden Gray and Austyn Cummings led the Fitch Disposal League at Cable Hollow Golf Course after Tuesday with 96.5 points. Terrius Strudwick and Tariqu Strudwick were second with 91.5 points while Richard Michael and Bubby Michael tied Bob Lindquist and Byron Jesperson with 85.5 points.

Tom Bulicz and Jack Werner combined for the low net with a 32.

Gray and Cummings tied Jeff Labesky and Tyler Labesky with a scratch 32.

Trap leagues

In the final week of the Warren County Trap League, Pine Grove won the second half by shooting to a tie with Sheffield at 342 each. This sets up a shoot-off with first-half winner Tidioute to be held Wednesday at Corry. The shoot-off will begin at 4 p.m.

In other action, Tidioute topped Brokenstraw 342-339, Sugar Grove outgunned Kalbfus 332-308 and Corry scored 332 for its bye week.

Perfect 50s were shot by Sheffield’s Lee Dunkle, Pine Grove’s Russ Wingard, Tidioute’s Bob Huson and Brian Mitchell, Brokenstraw’s Robbin Weaver and Corry’s Harold Linden.

Sheffield’s Michael Smith Jr. and Tidioute’s Logan Sabella shared High Jr. honors with 48s. Pine Grove’s K.C. Johnson was High Sub Jr. with a 48. Pine Grove’s Cindy Cable was High Lady with a 48. Dunkle and Linden shared High Veteran honors. Sheffield’s Chuck Loomis and Pine Grove’s Bill Congdon shared High Sr. Veteran honors with 49s. Wingard was High Super Sr. Veteran.

Pine Grove finished the second half 5-0-1 followed by Tidioute (5-1-0), Brokenstraw (4-2-0), Sheffield (3-2-1), Sugar Grove (2-4-0), Corry (1-5-0) and Kalbfus (0-6-0).
