Golf leagues
RUSSELL — Sharon Birtcil’s 46 led the A Flight during the Tuesday Night Ladies League at Blueberry Hill Golf Course.
Barb Hill and Deb Niederriter shot 47s. Niederriter had a net 35 and Birtcil had a net 38. Birtcil and Hill tied with 27s to lead the special tournament, which was throwing out the worst three holes. Margie Cerra had a 29.
In the B Flight, Terri Larson and Sandy Wilks had scratch 45s while Rose Colucci and Sally Moldovan had 47s. Larson had a net 29 and Wilks had a 31. Moldovan and Wilks tied for the tournament lead with 25s and Larson had a 26.
Betsy Sobkowski led the C Flight with a scratch 46 while Gail Kirsch, Jill Morley and Diedra Swanson had 51s. Sobkowski had a net 29 while the other three women had 34s. Sobkowski also led the tournament with a 27 while Kirsch and Morley had 29s.
In the D Flight, Cayla Hoffman shot a scratch 50 and Janis Bennett had a 52. Hoffman had a net 30 and Sue Papalia had a 32. In the tournament, Hoffman led with a 29 while Bennett and Papalia had 30s.
Grace Backstrom led the E Flight with a scratch 56 while Kathy Blackman and Deb Mooney had 57s. Backstrom and Mooney had net 32s and Blackman had a 33. Mooney led the tournament with a 31 and Backstrom had a 32.
Joie Hendricks had a 57 to lead the F Flight while Jan Moore, Carol Torrance and Laura Whitten had 64s. Hendricks led the net scores with a 29 and Whitten had a 33. Hendricks paced the tournament with a 34 and Moore had a 36.
In the G Flight, Lynne Rulander had a scratch 57 and Sue Scalise had a 61. Rulander had a net 24 while Jen Hanaway and Amanda Slattery had 29s. Rulander led the tournament with a 31 and Scalise had a 34.
Linda Bajorek was closest to the pond on No. 2.

LAKEWOOD, N.Y. — Denny Howe, Tim Sandberg and Juan Torres all shot 39s to lead the Youngsville Senior Golf League at Maplehurst Country Club.
Pete Hofert shot a 40 and John Blum had a 41.
Henry Beitsinger’s 31 paced the net scores. George Carlson, Jim Chapman and Dave Lang all had net 32s while Jon Steffan and Dick Stout each had a 33.
Beitsinger, Blum, Chapman, Rick Hutley, Bob Saunders and Torres all made birdies.
