Warren swim coach Russ Beyer likes the competition Mercyhurst Prep offers; might as well swim against them twice this week.

The Lady Dragons won 108-61 on Monday at the Warren YMCA, and the Dragon boys team completed the sweep 100-43.

Warren will also swim against them on Friday in Erie.

On Monday, Katie Beyer won the 400 freestyle and Sam Caudill was third with a season-best time. Beyer and Caudill also finished first and third in the 200 free, and Beyer combined with Kirsten Johnson, Sophie Olson and Summer Lucks to win the 200 free relay.

Johnson added a first-place finish in the 100 back, and Olson in the 100 free. Brooke Peterson won the 100 breastroke, and Katie Krogler had personal-best times in the 50 and 100 freestyle races.

On the boys side, Hugh Harrison just missed his own records in winning the 100 breaststroke and 200 freestyle. He joined Max Harrison, Derek Hahn and Graham Carr to finish first in the 200 medley relay.

Max Harrison won the 50 and 100 freestyle races, Hahn the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, Connor Fehlman the 400 freestyle, and Jack Seyler the 100 backstroke.

Cristian Johnson, Fehlman, Jarod Peterson and Kenneth Pizarro finished first in the 200 freestyle relay.

Jarod Peterson also qualified for districts for the first time in the 100 butterfly.
